"The Wheat Sheaf, Midgate, Peterborough, fully licenced; Caroline Bingham, licensee.  Messrs. Phipps and Co., Ltd., owners.  Mr. W. A Norris appeared on behalf of the owners.  His clients were anxious to close the house, re-build the premises, and renew the licence so as to make the place the company's offices.  He asked for the licence so far as these offices were concerned for their trade.  The Committee renewed the licence, and referred the matter to the next Brewster Sessions for consideration".
