"On Saturday last, a ewe sheep property of Mr. John Core, Talbot Inn Peterboro' was found slaughtered in a ground of coleseed, situate in Borough Fen, near the Three Horse Shoes public-house, in the occupation of the said Mr. John Core.  The carcase was taken away, but the skin, head, neck & entrails were left in a drain adjoining the ground".
