"At the George Hotel, in Crowland on Thursday the 29th day of March 1860, at 7 o'clock in the evening:-


The following very valuable and desirable ESTATES, situate in CROWLAND in the county of Lincoln:

Lot 1.  All that excellent Messuage or Dwelling-house, with the extensive Grocer's and Draper's shop, and newly-erected Warehouses, Tailor's Shop and Tenement, adjoining or near thereto and the Out-buildings, Yard, Garden and Appurtenances thereunto belonging, and well known as Bridge House.  And also all those 4 Acres (more or less|) of superior Arable Land, lying in the Alderlands, and bounded on the north by property of Mr. James Whitsed, on the south by property of Mr. W. Hewson, and on the west by Mill Drove.

Bridge House is situated at the foot of the Triangular Bridge, in the centre of the town, and has for many years past been recognised as the principal establishment of the kind in Crowland.  There is an excellent Family Trade attached; and to any young man desirous of entering into business, the property above described offers a most favourable opportunity for advantageous investment and occupation".
