"Thomas Smith, of Crowland, labourer, was summoned for being drunk in the King's Arms Inn, Crowland on the 17 Jan and fined 10s and costs.  Henry Tansley, the landlord of the above inn, was fined £2 & costs for permitting drunkeness at the above time & place".
