"On Monday the 28th of January 1828, at the Blue Bell in Dogsthorpe, in the County of Northampton.

Lot 1 ALL that new-built Brick and Thatched the Brewhouse, capital Well and Pump, Cellar, Yard, and Garden, together with choice Fruit Trees and Outbuildings thereto belonging, situate in DOGSTHORPE in the tenure of Mr. Charles Spriggs and others, who brewed upon the premises last year upwards of 100 barrels of ale"

"DRUNK IN A PUBLIC HOUSE - Jas. T. Avril, Dogsthorpe, was summoned by supt. Blackman for being drunk at the Blue Bell inn, Dogsthorpe, on April 22d.  P.c. Knight proved the case.  Mr Batten defended.  Fined 5s. including costs".
